7 students from std 9th appeared for the Homi Bhabha Young Scientist Exam. Rujuta Purandare from IX A has been selected for the second level of this exam which consists of Physics, chemistry & biology Practicals. CONGRATULATIONS RUJUTA!!!! We are proud of you.
Six students from std VII appeared for “Abacus Maths” Exam conducted by wisdom Mathematics Yash Butala secured the 75th Rank and received a cash prize of Rs 125/- whereas Radhika Nimkar secured 87th Rank and received a cash prize of Rs 100/-
STUPENDOUS ACHIEVEMENT
Rujuta Purandare has been awarded the most prestigious scholarship in school academics- National Talent Search Scholarship (NTS) which is given by the Central Government. This is the highest achievement at school level.
At stage one which is called as State Talent Search she was selected among top 500 students in Maharastra out of 70,000.
More than ten lakh students appear all over India from various states of which only 4,000 are selected for stage 2. Thinking oriented and application based questions are asked in this exam.
At stage two out of 4000 state talent students only 1000 are selected and given NTS scholarship. NTS proves that she is talent in India. The scholarship is awarded every month till the education is completed.
Rujuta has also been awarded Maharastra Talent Search Scholarship (MTS). She ranked 2nd in Pune District.
Stage II of this exam consisted of 40 minutes interview which tested G.K., conversation skills and ability to relate knowledge in practical life. It was a very good exposure and great experience for her. Interview is held for std 8th and 10th.

They have indeed made us proud by displaying their academic excellence to achieve these outstanding results.

S.P.M students have always excelled not only in the field of academics but also extracurricular activities. 46 students from std VII had appeared for the High School Scholarship Exam. Out of this, 13 students have secured place in the merit list of High School Scholarship Examination 2010-11.
